The Outeniqua Chair Challenge (OCC) is aflagship event not only for George, but forSouth Africa as a whole. It won the WesternCape Premier Award for the best event in2019.
This year the race will take place on Saturday15 October at Carpe Diem School, for the 19thtime. Pieter du Preez, who won gold at theTokyo Olympic Games, will again compete inthe 42.2km race, alongside a field of manygreat athletes.
OCC organisers have added a special categorythat enables businesses to get involved. Foronly R3,000 you can enter an able-bodiedperson from your company into the 5km funrace. Alternatively, you can provide thewheelchair and a team to push the chair alongthe 5km route.
